The Woolmen are delighted to sponsor sheep shearing competitions and actively promote shearing at agricultural shows up and down the country. These include awarding prizes for Junior Shearing, the finals of which are to be held at The Royal Welsh Show in particular in July.
The Master Woolman has awarded prizes at the Balmoral Northern Ireland and the Royal Bath & West Shows and will be doing the same at the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show and Great Yorkshire Show in July.
Agricultural shows are a fabulous fun and entertaining day out for all the family and are vital in bridging the gap between the countryside and townspeople, educating the general public on farming and food as well as showcasing the latest developments within the industry.
The 2024 Royal Welsh Show will take place from Monday 22nd – Thursday 25th July 2024
The 2024 Great Yorkshire Show takes place from 9th July – 12th July 2024
