On Thursday evening I attended the IT Company’s Dinner with Gill. I had not been to their hall before but it was very convenient for a dinner of up to 50 so we were very comfortable there.
By chance I was sitting next to their Treasurer, Colin Black, and it turned out that he was a brother-in-law of an old Army friend of mine in the Royal Engineers. I was sat opposite Baroness Byford who was very interesting and lively considering the difficult time she has had recently. It was a very good evening and we were well fed and watered, and everyone was great company.
