The Woolmen are delighted to sponsor sheep shearing competitions and actively promote shearing at agricultural shows up and down the country. The Master Woolman was delighted to attend The Royal Bath & West Show and present our shearing prizes on behalf of the Company.
The Royal Bath & West Show remains one of the great showcases of British Agriculture, rural enterprise and country life. For the Woolmen, it is also a particularly fitting gathering; a place where the Company’s historic connection with wool meets the practical realities of breeding, showing, shearing, education and the future of the industry.
This year the Woolmen sponsored both the Junior and Intermediate shearing competitions as well as the Robert Camac Awards.
Agricultural shows are a fabulous fun and entertaining day out for all the family and are vital in bridging the gap between the countryside and townspeople, educating the general public on farming and food as well as showcasing the latest developments within the industry.
